The Leadership Annual Giving (LAG) Officer is a front-line fundraising position focused on leadership annual giving opportunities among alumni. The LAG Officer targets existing leadership level donors for gift renewals, develops donors to increase annual giving, and identifies donors ready for major gift development. This job is available for remote work for those living in Indiana (preferred), IL, Florida, Kentucky, Michigan, and Wisconsin. The position is responsible for reaching out to alumni across the country, time spent traveling can range from 25-50% depending on location and portfolio assignments. In addition, the LAG Officer works closely with the Director of Development to align strategy and follow up.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward leadership annual giving donors with a capacity of $5,000 or higher, with a focus on gift asks in the $25,000+ range.
- Manage outreach to prospective donors across the country and travel to see them when necessary.
- Develop and implement targeted leadership annual giving solicitations for milestone reunion classes and those years leading up to milestone classes.
- Identify individuals nearing giving milestones and develop them to achieve those levels of recognition.
- In partnership with colleagues in Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement, leverage reunion volunteers to identify leadership annual giving prospects and to encourage participatory gifts to The Fund for DePauw.
- Develop a strategic plan to increase giving and utilize affinity groups for ongoing solicitation strategies, especially at leadership giving levels.
- Actively develop and lead alumni volunteers - particularly in reunion programs - focused on increasing, retaining and acquiring new donors through special events including the Day of Giving, Giving Tuesday and other DePauw traditions.
- Participate in the collaborative process of the strategic planning for the overall Annual Giving program.
